The shrimp dumplings were plump and juicy, and the siu mai had a great balance of meat and seasoning. The service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a relaxed meal with family and friends. Overall, Mark's Duck House delivers an authentic dim sum experience that is both satisfying and enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to indulge in delicious Cantonese cuisine. ”
“ A group luncheon on Friday Dim sum off the menu Steamed shrimp dumplings, buns filled with BBQ pork, green beans, roast duck slices, chicken feet, egg custard tarts. ”
“ This is place is probably one of the most authentic Chinese dimsum restaurant I have been. Excellent and fast service despite a decent wait during peak hrs. Food is very tasty and yet not very salty. They have an Asian dimsum (dimsum carts) atmosphere on Sundays. The downside is the limited siomai variety, crowded (but fun) and that you can over eat:) If you are claustrophobic, this place is not for you. Price: Very reasonable, our bill was only 180 , 4 of us in our party, and already had a steamed fish (need to order from their menu) I will always make it a point to stop by this place whenever Im in the DC area. ”
“ 12/31/24 New Year’s Eve with family and our first time at Mark’s Duck House in Annandale Va. my family and I love Chinese food and we traveled 1 hour 15 minutes in pouring rain on New Years Eve to try this restaurant it was GREAT did not disappoint! Not a glamour place set in a small shopping center but very clean to start off with. We were seated by friendly gentleman even though we were early for our reservation and given a large table like we asked for because we wanted to try lots of dishes. Not a problem. Our waiter, Kenny was wonderful he explained different dim sum options to my sons and was always cheerful and attentive. The appetizers fried wontons, hot and sour soup and shrimp balls and fried dumplings were perfectly. Not blah pot stickers. When the main courses arrived we’re talking large, very large portions! Not complaining loved it. Hands down the best Peking Duck we ever had, large portion, tender and flavorful and we have tried several local Va. restaurants. Large pieces of chicken in a nicely sweet sweet and sour sauce with pineapples. The beef and vegetable dish had large pieces of tender beef along with lots of veggies and pineapples in a tangy sauce. My fav was the eggplant although it wasn’t on the menu as such I asked for eggplant in garlic sauce not spicey (not fried) huge plate came and I shared although I didn’t want to! Fried rice with chicken was hit as well and did I mention Saki and hot tea went along with dinner as well. This place was fantastic from our greeting at entry to our waiter to the exceptional food we will be back. People if you are looking for great Chinese food give Mark’s Duck House a try I promise you will be back. And if that doesn’t temp your taste buds theirs a reason the locals filled the restaurant on New Years Eve. Thanks for a great start to 2025 to everyone who made our family event perfect. ”
“ Favorite Chinese place in North Virginia. Love their roast duck, crispy pork, dim sum variety, yang chow fried rice, various noodles, sesame balls, etc. We visit them once or twice a month for a few years now. Lovely and prompt service from Johnny, Linda, Elvis, etc. Cheerful, friendly staff. Chef is Cantonese. Place is neat. Can be packed on weekends, so we usually go on weekdays. ”
“ Very good dim sum, amazing roasted duck and suckling pig. The sweet bean curd is the same taste as what I used to eat in my home country ”
“ Can’t believe it took me so many years to visit marks duck house and I regret not going sooner! We ordered a few dim sum, half peking duck and a veggie dish. All are incredible. The quality of shumai and steamed dumplings are up there. You can really taste the shrimp in the filling. The duck skin is so crispy, pairing with sharp green onions and sweet sauce to make a perfect wrap. The greens in fermented tofu sauce is very soothing and savory, a popular way to prepare leafy greens in Cantonese cuisine. Highly recommend. It can get busy even during the week so coming early seems to be the winning strategy. Service is prompt and friendly. The display window with all the roasted meat looks so mouthwatering. I need to go back soon! ”
“ Highly recommend Dim Sum here. My family is very picky about Dim Sum and we are all satisfied here. I also ordered seasonal fried soft shell crabs and oyster sauce clams. I love seafood for sure. The waiter was super friendly and professional. It was very busy restaurant while we were there but he managed very well. He constantly added ice water to our cups and added hot water to our tea pot without we asked him. The best dum sum service I have never had in DC region. I have to come back to try their duck. ”
